At Maude and the Bulldogs, we believe in training the whole family - humans AND dogs - which is why the foundation of our training services is private lesson packages designed around your goals, completed on your schedule and in your home. We teach you how to train your dog, in your home environment - which strengthens the relationship you have with your dog, increases your understanding of the “why behind the what,” and provides ample opportunity for practice of new behaviors and a healthier mindset where you and your dog spend the most time.

Thank you! Please note that all package sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase (deposit payment). After that time, all unused lessons will be forfeited with no refunds. All training clients must sign our contract and waiver. Please note that a deposit is due at the time of booking. Payment is due in full before the lesson begins. Once you have selected your private lesson package, you have access to additional training services such as day training and stay and train programs that can be completed before, during, or after your sessions. Combination packages (private lesson package plus stay and train program) are also available at a 10-20% discount. (And if you are not local, we have remote training options.)     The Liam Lesson Package

    The “Liam” Package is our immersion experience for adolescent and adult dogs over six months of age. It’s ideal for owners struggling with overexcitement and jumping on guests, behavioral issues such as reactivity or anxiety, barking, multi-dog households, resource guarding, pulling on leash, and more! Your dog can learn a variety of skills, which may include but is not limited to: walking nicely on a leash, place, pausing at thresholds, crate comfort, guest manners, the language of the prong collar and/or ecollar and intro to recall. If you have two dogs in the household that need training, we have The Liam for Two Dogs Package! See below for more details and special pricing.

    The Liam package price for one dog includes a prong collar and $50 credit towards ecollar purchase. The package price for two dogs includes two prong collars and $100 credit towards the purchase of two ecollars.

    After completing The Liam, follow up options include The Maude or single refresh sessions. It includes an assessment and customized action plan, five 1 hour (45 minutes of work, 15 minutes for questions and scheduling) lessons in your home, mileage to/from your home up to 10 miles (20 miles round trip; additional mileage $1.50/mile), a detailed email with step by step instructions after each lesson, and the Rest-Paws-Follow ebook. For The Liam for Two Dogs Program, please plan on 90 minutes (45 minutes of work per dog).

    The Ruby Lesson Package

    The “Ruby” Package is our puppy manners program for dogs under six months of age, to give dogs and their owners a head start and set them up for success in creating a calm, confident dog. For any behavioral challenges such as anxiety or reactivity and multi-dog households in which all dogs need training, please book The Liam program. Your puppy can learn a variety of skills, which may include but is not limited to: confidence building, their name, intro to walking on a leash (how to follow a human), intro to place, and crate comfort. After completing The Ruby package, puppies can learn loose leash walking, finish place training, and intro to recall by completing The Liam package. The Ruby includes an assessment and customized action plan, two 1 hour (45 minutes of work, 15 minutes for questions and scheduling) lessons in your home, mileage to/from your home up to 10 miles (20 miles round trip; additional mileage $1.50/mile), a detailed email with step by step instructions after each lesson, and the Rest-Paws-Follow ebook. Please note that tools are not included in the lesson price unless otherwise specified but can be purchased from Jen separately.

    The Maude Lesson Package

    The “Maude” Package is our touch up package for clients who complete The Liam package (or any lesson package if package was completed prior to June 1, 2025). It includes a re-assessment of your dog’s current behaviors since we last trained together as well as a customized action plan and three 30 minute sessions. Sessions are completed at Jen’s home, and the price does not include mileage. Single session refresh lessons are also available - see below.

    Single refresh lessons can be booked after The Liam package completion (or any lesson package if package was completed prior to June 1, 2025). The one hour (45 minutes of work, 15 minutes for questions and scheduling), in person, refresh lesson is intended to troubleshoot new or existing challenges, polish skills, and answer questions. Up to 20 miles of travel roundtrip is included so the session can be completed at client home or an outing (coffee shop, shopping center, Home Depot, outside dog park, etc.). Additional mileage is available for $1.50/miles roundtrip.

    The Mermaid Lesson Package

    The Mermaid is our “Grow with Me” package designed for the puppy pawrent who would like hands on help with raising a confident, calm, and well adjusted dog. It starts with two, weekly, 30 minute lessons in your home while your puppy is 3-4 months of age and advances to a six night Stay and Train: Leash(sliplead or harness) at 4-6 months of age and a 10 night Stay and Train: Ecollar at 6-8 months of age. For ongoing support throughout the first year, four additional 1 hour lessons in your home (mileage radius applies) are included and can be completed at any time. Boarding requirements apply (must be crate trained, up to date on vaccinations, etc.).

    A deposit of 50% is due at time of booking for The Mermaid Package.

    Online Training or Consultation

    Online training is just that - you train your dog, and Jen provides real time feedback, tips, and guidance. Zoom or Instagram video chat are preferred. Be sure to have a tripod set up, distractions (other animals, kids, TV, etc.) in another room, and adequate lighting.

    The owner consultation call is your time to discuss any problem behaviors, set up a personalized training plan, and go through any questions. Owner consultations are ideal for the expecting parents, those planning a move, individuals considering fostering, or owners seeking solutions for nuisance behaviors. Zoom or Instagram video chat are preferred.

    Online sessions are $65 for a 30 minute session. Our Rest-Paws-Follow lesson book (information below) can be added onto any online session for $20.

    Our lengthy lesson book (90 pages and counting!) goes through the Rest-Paws-Follow program and recaps the skills of place, crate, pausing at thresholds, and heel. It also includes motivational pages and step by step guides for skills such as nail trims and tool such as the ecollar.

    Add On: Stay and Train

    The Stay and Train: Ecollar and the Stay and Train: Leash programs are available for in person training clients on a case by case basis to introduce the language of the prong collar or ecollar during a boarding stay. All Stay and Train programs must be booked with a lesson package; ideal timing for this is before The Liam package begins or between lessons one and two. Boarding requirements apply (must be crate trained, up to date on vaccinations, etc.). Minimum stay length for Prong is 6 nights/7 days and for Ecollar is 11 days/10 nights and includes early drop off, a 1-2 hour lesson at pick up (depending on complexity of behaviors and program length), and any special dog tax that would otherwise be required. During the Stay and Train program, dogs learn the language of the prong collar or ecollar, the art of a loose leash walk, the place command, waiting at thresholds such as the crate door and home doorways, and basic commands such as sit, stay, break, and down. Social work with other dogs, greeting guests politely, treadmill training, and intro to recall can be added, if appropriate for the individual dog. All behavioral cases (reactivity, anxiety, resource guarding) must book as 3 week program. Investment for the Stay N Train is $225/night. Two weeks (14 nights) is $2600. Three weeks (21 nights) is $3700. Please note that tool cost is not included in any training program unless otherwise specified but can be purchased separately for additional cost.
